Property Overview

Ichigo Ichie

Chef Miyazaki brings a kappou-style fine dining Japanese restaurant to Ireland. This Michelin Guide Restaurant provides an omakase menu that changes every 6 weeks and mixes long-standing Japanese traditions with more modern touches. Irish ingredients – including supreme quality fish and shellfish – are cleverly balanced with time-honoured Japanese techniques. Colourfully presented dishes are artfully arranged on handmade crockery and are brought to the table by the chef and his knowledgeable team – they are also paired with sakes chosen by Takashi himself.

There is very few places I have been in my life that I have paused mid-chew and thought, how can food taste this good when I am eating it everyday.

We have been to Ichigo Ichie 3 times now and every time has flared every taste bud in our mouth, in a good way. From the main part of the dish to the complimenting seasonings, to the contrasting courses, everything just flowed perfectly.

If one is to delight the senses and book this majestic food haven, please request the recommended Sake. Each manages to accentuate the flavours of the different courses.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

Amazing experience, pure artistry. The atmosphere, the details and the food are on another level. As a fish hater its mind blowing that I could eat eel, squid and oyster and actually enjoy it. The Barry's tea desert is a great cork, Japanese mash-up

I rarely give a 5 star review. Ichigo Ichie (and places like it) are the reason for this. This is a place that genuinely deserves 5 stars and to be set above the rest. Every time I have been here, chef Takeshi Miyasaki and his team has without fail delivered an amazing culinary experience. If you get an opportunity to eat here, grab it with both hands!

Last night it was raining in Cork but this was forgotten after 5mins inside the door of Ichigo Ichie. From the greeting inside the door to the theatrics of the food presented made this a truly memorable experience. The flavours were both subtle and yet layered with various notes. I enjoyed tasting everything and was not phased that not all of it was to my taste. It was like going to a concert, some songs are more to your liking than others.....overall the concert has stayed with me as I think back over the eve. I would highly recommend this restaurant for something unique, a special occasion or to just appreciate an artist at work, as this was certainly artistic, artisanal and creative from beginning to end. Thank you from a very impressed customer.

Ichigo ichie is a fantastic dining experience. This was our first trip here since the Michelin star was awarded. I can honestly say it has not changed the atmosphere in anyway, which is a good thing. I didn't feel rushed or pressured in anyway! The staff are polite, friendly and approachable. They do make you feel at home. The standard of food is great and it is an experience that you should try at least once!
A huge thank you to Chef Miyazaki and his team for bringing this to Cork!
