Variety Jones: Dublin

Variety Jones

Michelin Star Restaurant sandwiched between other properties with no sign above the door creates an exciting atmosphere from the get-go. The long, narrow room has a funky, modern style with an inviting relaxed atmosphere.

Chef-owner Keelan Higgs works alongside his brother Aaron. Highly original and refined dishes are bursting with freshness and flavour, and many are cooked over the open fire; Chef-owner Keelan Higgs emphasizes that no two dishes will ever be exactly the same.

The menu is divided into the headings Snacks, Cold, Warm, Pasta, Family Style (for sharing) and After (one dessert and one cheese). The monthly changing, mostly organic wine list is equally passionately compiled.

"We have a Chef's choice sharing menu only. We can offer a pescatarian menu on request but do not offer a vegetarian or plant-based menu. Our menu is not suitable for guests on a dairy-free diet."

Wonderful food. Each course built on a theme. Great quirky wine list from corners of the world not normally acknowledged. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and warm.
Going back online tomorrow to rebook.
Best Irish culinary experience for a long time.

Amazing meal and great service. Every single meal was delishous. One of the favourites were yeast sauce with cauliflower and fresh waffle. They offer a set menu for 75per person but you will leave stuffed. It's hard to believe that Michelin rated place will give you this much food. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and I would love to come again. Also, you need to book way in advance, like a month in advance at least.

We recently made our second visit to Variety Jones and it lived up the first time. The food is honestly the best I've had in Dublin. This time round we had the tasting menu, we couldn't fault it. We were recommended a particular chardonnay and it was again the nicest I've ever had! The service is great, always checking in to see how everything is. Hopefully get to eat here again soon, as reservations are hard to get now. Highly recommend if you can.
