In the event you are unable to travel to your property because of regional travel restrictions please note the following terms:
  • We will give you preference in terms of rescheduling your booking to another time that suits your party either in the current year or the following year.
  • If you are unable to reschedule the booking, in most instances we will refund the full rental fee minus the initial booking deposit (varies between 10% to 50%). Please check amount with your reservation agent.
  • Refunds do not apply to guests who are unable to travel because of positive COVID-19 tests or have not followed the travel guidelines.
  • Please note any booking deposits taken to reserve properties and process reservations are non-refundable under any circumstances. It may be beneficial to get insurance when booking self-catering properties.
These are general rules which apply to properties exclusively managed by Five Star and do not apply to all properties on our website. Please check terms with your reservations agent.

2. Reservation and payment terms
There is a non-refundable deposit payable when you book a property as your reserved dates will be blocked for your party and cannot be booked by any other party on any other platform. Please note this deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance. Remaining rental fees are normally due 4 to 6 weeks before arrival and should be paid on the due date or your booking will go into default and you will lose your booking deposit. Once remaining balance payments are made they are non-refundable.

3. Property owner/manager/agent terms and conditions
Obligations of advertisers including property owners, managers and agents

(1) By using any of our marketing platforms and websites, property owners, managers and agents agree to submit and communicate accurate information about both their property listings and personal identity

(2) Advertisers, property owners and property managers also undertake to ensure that all information provided to related to their property listings is both up to date and accurate.. The property owner/manager also undertakes to ensure that all information relating to their listing is kept up-to-date and accurate while the property listing remains on the website and platforms.

(3) Owners take full responsibility for ensuring that their listings do not contain false information, and that any materials or copy do not contain anything that infringes data protection or copyright laws.
4. Granting Proprietary rights to and affiliates
(1) In the event owner/managers submit content that contains trademarks, owners/managers warrant that they have the right to use them.

(2) By submitting any content for use on any website, the owner automatically authorises and its partners; to display and use the content in connection with any promotions of the platforms and website.
5. Cancellation / billing terms for paid registrations
You can cancel your Five Star subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access to the service through the end of your billing period. Payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription periods. To cancel, go to the "Account" page and follow the instructions for cancellation.
Five Star Rentals
Any deposits paid to secure dates at a Five Star property are non-refundable unless the property is no longer available or cannot accept the booking. When a guest cannot or refuses to check in due to unforeseen circumstances or where there is any ambiguity regarding payments, Five Star will retain all funds and will have the sole responsibility to decide the outcome within 90 days of the check-in date.
Disclaimer and Waiver
By uploading, communicating or submitting information to the website, you warrant that such information is truthful and accurate, and furthermore does not infringe intellectual property rights of any third party or data protection law.
