"Great hotel, great food" The Shelbourne does everything right. In addition to a fabulous breakfast buffet, I had a delicious lunch and great bar dinner. While the restaurant is expensive, the bar is quite affordable

"Wonderful High Tea at the Shelbourne!" It may be expensive - but it's worth every penny to have high tea at the Shelbourne! They allow 2 hours for your experience. You can either get High Team (includes a variety of unlimited teas and unlimited food!) or High team plus Champagne (higher price). We did the regular high tea - and were absolutely stuffed! You can have seconds on anything - and can try as many of their interesting teas as you want. There is also live piano music - very nice. Be sure to make reservations!!! It is definitely an "experience" - and definitely worthwhile! ENJOY!

"Amazing Hotel, Stay and Sleep in 5Star Style!" Was there for 3 days and really enjoyed my stay there, The staff from receptionists to waiters and waitresses were so professional and curious and helpful and so friendly! The room was lovely warm and spacious and the mirrors were full length so you could stand in front of them and check out how you look in this suit or that suit before the meal which i really liked as not many hotels that i have been to be it in Ireland or abroad would have full length mirrors in their rooms. there's a coffee machine in the room which i didn't use as i don't drink coffee. complementary chocolates left on the bed was a nice little surprise! the bathroom was like staying in one of those super expensive spa retreats. the bed was massive and really cosy. the television was a good size and had a good selection of channels too. the wardrobe in my room was like one of those retro 1980's type wardrobe that when you open the door there's light in them which was like a blast from the past having had such a wardrobe back in the 80's. was big enough to hang the 6+ suits i took with me. (yep 6+ suits for a 3 day stay but when you are fussy about what to wear and having second thoughts about this outfit or that outfit then it's good to bring alot of a 3 day stay!) the hotel's restaurant had a great selection on the menu and really enjoyed (as much as i hated) adding the few extra kg's from all the beautiful meal's i picked from the menu. the wine selection was great too i must add, the bar has a great selection available. overall amazing stay, will visit again in the autumn/winter!

An amazing experience we wish we could repeat again! We were Americans traveling on our honeymoon around the southern part of Ireland after being married on Saint Patrick’s Day in the states. We had stayed at the K Club, Dromoland Castle, and Ashford Castle but the Shelbourne was our favorite. Pictures do not do it justice. We had a wonderful turn down service with chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals adorning the bed complete with a chandelier overhead. The hotel itself exudes sophistication and history beckoning back to a more genteel time with teas in Lord Mayors lounge and a walk down hallways where if the walls could talk you can only imagine what they would say. The hotel has all of the modern updates you could want without losing the charm of its history. We will definitely be returning.
