A Michelin Star Restaurant in an intimate setting located in West Cork. Restaurant Chestnut is nestled in a small former pub in Ballydehob. Restaurant Chestnuts Menu is ever-evolving along with the changing seasons and takes great pleasure in soaking up influences from nature.

Restaurant Chestnut opened its doors in March 2018, just over six months later in October 2018 this gorgeous restaurant won a Michelin star for 2019 and has retained it since.

Born in Country Cork, Head Chef Rob Krawczyk grew up in a home that revolved around the kitchen. Influenced by his parent's strong culinary and artistic heritage.

Fabulous food and wine tasting menu and pairings. Fantastic accommodation for vegetarians as well. Lovely & cozy Michelin star restaurant tucked in the town.

Amazing meal at Chestnut - we had the tasting menu and every morsel was delicious - Rob knows how to use West Cork's larder and the mixture of ingredients was fantastic. My favourite course and it was hard to pick one as I loved everything was "Coastline" which was probably the best seafood plate I have every had. Everything was perfect - setting and service. The very pleasant staff were very attentive and happy to answer all my questions (they knew the menu very well). In particular Elaine was very helpful. I thought it was a genius touch to have the juice pairings and they worked so well. Well done on everything. Definitely a night to remember!

Hands down the best dining experience of my life. Every minute of the experience, the setting, the service, the food, and the wine, was sheer perfection. Rob & Elaine are an absolute credit to West Cork. Words and pictures don’t even scratch the surface of just how good this establishment is. There really isn’t a single thing I could even begin to fault. Can’t wait to go back.

Intimate Fine Dining with character.
Lovely environment, attentive staff and four hours of entertainment. Every course of the tasting menu a delicious surprise. The wine pairing was stunning. We didn't want it to end. Looking forward to a revisit.

Probably the best meal I have every had.
It's not so much a meal as an experience, and one I really enjoyed, we had the 8 course tasting menu with paired wines, I thought it was phenominal. We will be back.
