Excellent B&B in West Co. Cork
Amazing location and historic house & gardens. Where do you start ? Walking distance to restaurants and pubs in Bantry Bay , a very quaint town with great food & music.
Staff all very friendly & helpful.
Breakfast outstanding . Dinner served on some evenings , also excellent. Bantry Bay Golf course very close by , worth a visit , stunning views . Rooms very comfortable. Can meet in the evenings in the amazing library for a drink from the honour bar with other guests. Looking forward to our return soon.

"A haven of peace and tranquillity"
Approaching up the long drive it feels a special occation is on hand. On check in we were greeted and shown to our room, and all the various public areas in which we could relax, including the Library with log fires and honesty bar. Our room overlooked the formal gardens to the rear and with the windows open the room was filled with birdsong. The room itself was a perfect reflection of the historic surroundings with comfortabel beds and chairs, a nice well appointed bath room and anything else we needed.
We were free to explore the gardens and in early evening had them to our selves. during opening hours we could also explore the house interior.
All in all a very luxurious stay.
Breakfast is served in the very stylish period decorated dining room and was perfect.

"Stay in a piece of history"
Our room was so pretty and nicely furnished. It's very relaxing and homely. The bed sheets and towels are of high quality cotton. There is a cute honesty bar area next to the main library room that guests can use - it is just fabulous. I felt like I stepped into a Jane Austen novel. Breakfast was seriously good and is served on the Bantry House bone china. Very good quality local produce is served. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept. The Tearooms are open for evening dinner in high season but numbers are limited and unfortunately we hadn't made a reservation. Maybe next time! We did the tour of the main house and wow it is truly amazing. Highly recommended.
I will be back.

"A very special and delightful experience"
We arrived in Bantry, this April, with blue sky and Bantry House was just wonderful. After a warm welcome, we were shown to our room - all very comfortable with views on the garden. Uniquely, the Library, the largest room in the House, is open to residents until 22:00 when one can read in front of the lit fireplace ... And one can walk the garden at leisure and wonder in the House when your answers will be answered to satisfy your curiosity. A pure delight ... and so is the magnificent breakfast.

Purely Magical
After using the Rick Steves's book to create my vacation itinerary, I realized that something was missing--Bantry and this wonderful B & B. Thank goodness, my friend Sharon had been here last year and strongly recommended it, because it is amazing--definitely the highlight of our vacation. This Bantry B & B is simply a magical place to stay. The house! The gardens! The history! Staying here is a destination in itself. In addition to the accommodations being top notch, the staff was awesome as well. From helpful day planning, to the wonderful house tour, to the delicious breakfast, they are extremely helpful and welcoming. The evening we arrived, Sophie, the amazing host, was going to recommend places to eat to us. After driving most of the day in the rain, the two of us were too tired to leave, so she created a fantastic feast of cheese, bread, sausages, and vegetables--going above and beyond. Honestly, this review can't convey how wonderful this place is. I'm just not that good with words. Staying here is truly like living in a fairy tale. I highly recommend this wonderful house!
