We had a wonderful weekend at this delightful cottage. Really comfortable with a lovely fire in the stove in the evening while it rained outside. Strolled on the beach locally with the sound of rolling waves .. music to my ears. We will definitely be back!!

We had such a lovely weekend in the Old Head cottage. Paul could not have been more helpful from the moment we arrived to when we left, including allowing us a late check out which was brilliant on such a short weekend. It’s always lovely to meet locals and we had lovely chats with Paul about the area. The cottage is very special - lovingly restored, keeping the character of the old cottage while offering so much comfort with every modern convenience. It’s spotlessly clean and so cosy and welcoming. It’s on a lovely quiet road while being literally a few minutes walk to Old Head beach. The sauna on the pier is an amazing facility open at weekends all year round, and was the icing on the cake after lovely refreshing February swims! We are very familiar with the area and keep coming back, and would love to stay in Paul’s cottage again - it’s really beautiful and welcoming and we felt really at home. Thanks Paul for your friendliness and for being such a great host :-)

Had a lovely break here. Paul and Karina were great hosts. We had two young kids and they loved the house and the area. Beach only 5 mins walk would def recommend. Great pubs and restaurants nearby.

Paul and Karina's place is absolutely immaculate. It provided us with the perfect location for our stay in one of the most beautiful parts of Mayo. It is within walking distance to the superb beach of Old Head and short driving distance to other stunning braches, not to mention the picturesque village of Louisburgh.
The house itself is a beautiful renovation of old style cottage with all modern amenities. The beds and linen are to a really high standard. We all slept immensely on our stay. The decor is chic and luxurious, making you feel warm and relaxed. It has everything you could possibly need. Paul and Karina are super hosts and so accommodating. Genuinely we had the most relaxed holiday we have had in years. We cannot wait to come back. I would highly recommended this place.

This cottage renovation is absolutely beautiful with so many original features mixed with all the comfort of a modern house. It was the ideal getaway with our two teenage children. Old head beach is a stroll away and is worth a walk or swim everyday. Paul and Karina are always there to help and are so welcoming and accommodating. We will be back for sure.

We were lucky enough to experience this beautiful cottage when it was newly renovated. It’s really luxurious while still having the charm of an Irish cottage with exposed stone walls and wooden beams. It’s well equipped and you can tell great thought went into ever inch of this place. The beds are comfortable with good quality linens. There was plenty to keep the kids occupied locally while us grown ups had our most relaxing holiday yet. We didn’t want to leave. Thanks Paul and Karina
