We had an absolutely fantastic stay in Lagan. The house is beautiful and in a super location. We had excellent weather so the proximity to the beach made the holiday. We have been renting houses in the West and South of Ireland for the last 15 years and we all agreed this was the best house. It was also great that we could all do paddle boarding at the other end of the beach. It was such a lovely gesture a call with freshly baked bread.....much appreciated! Can’t wait to go back!

We had 12 people at one time stay and Lagan House and less at different times. The house was perfect! The location was beautiful, the caretakers and owner were accessible and always available if needed. We had several loaves of homemade Irish breads delivered for our group weekly. The view was incredible. I would highly recommend Lagan House to anyone!

The forecast wasn't great for the weekend (it was May bank Holiday). But our hearts lifted when we arrived at Lagan where Eamon met us and showed us the whole, wonderful, place. Six bedrooms. Televisions everywhere. And a wonderful kitchen come dining come sitting room with views of Old Head and Croagh Patrick. We ate in and it was just great. The beach, Old Head, is just a stroll down the lane from the house, so despite it not being warm, we spent part of the next day there. There were 11 of us, six adults and five children. And we could have taken another few as well, comfortably!! We explored - did Westport House, went to the harbour, and the extraordinary drive to Leenaun. It is close to being the best and most beautiful, spectaculal, breathtaking drive in Ireland. And we knew that, always, we'd be back in our beautiful house at night. That's where we ate mostly. The equipment in the house is the best money can buy. Top of the range. Everything. And while Westport is a beautiful, friendly, unspoiled town, Louisburgh is equally welcoming. And at last there's an ATM there! We'll be back here. Great place, and great value. One of our best breaks ever.

This was our 22nd year of Easter celebratory gatherings. In that time we've stayed in numerous 'first class' establishments...and regrettably a few in the 'just OK' category. Lagan is most definitely in the former camp - superb ! Bright, spacious, modern, minimalist (in a no-fuss kind of way) and stylish, this property offered real comfort which sealed 6 days of indulgent relaxation for all 10 of us ! We ate in only for breakfast and a 'Gala Dinner' - the kitchen is very well equipped, the laundry room functional and the dining arrangements accommodated us with ease. The beds were uber comfortable, the lounge area allowing panoramic views over to Achill, Croagh Patrick and the sea. We will have to return in the Summer to experience the fantastic BBQ area... WiFi is great ; in fact this is a high tech property - certainly a technophobe could be a little overwhelmed by the modernity of the place ! Michael the Owner is a delight to deal with - responsive, considerate and intent on providing a memorable experience for his 'guests'. Eamon who manages the property was on hand to welcome us. Margaret remained in the background but she 'keeps' a super clean accommodation. And let's not forget John (?), Michael's brother who turned up on our doorstep with 2 deliciously hot loaves of wheaten bread. Heaven !

My boyfriend and I spent a week here from the 28th December with my extended family. Our first impression of the house when driving up the driveway in the dark was the large glass front with a well lit Xmas tree to greet us. Within moments, the house felt like home away from home but of a 5* standard. We only wish we lived in a house like this. Sitting having breakfast the next morning enjoying the panoramic views from Old Head Beach to Croagh Patrick was when we fully got to appreciate all this house had to offer. We are a family of foodies and the layout of the open plan kitchen and living area was perfect for prepping, cooking and long family dinners. The kitchen is very well stocked and to a very high spec. The bedrooms are comfortable with lovely white linen and towels. We climbed Croagh Patrick, we cycled the Greenway, we visited Achill, we did HIIT training in the garden, we had movie nights & we even swam in the sea and everytime we returned to Lagan we were met by a lovely warm house. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Michael and enjoyed a nice chat with him. Eamonn & Margaret looked after us so well and nothing was a hassle for them. There is so much to do and visit in the area. We recommend The Tavern for food and drinks in Murrisk, The DerryLahan in Louisbourg for a pre dinner drink, Durkans butchers in the town for cooking at home & if you like your craft beers, don't leave the area without trying Mescan Saison, brewed in the hills near the house. In summary we couldn't recommend this house highly enough and are both sad leaving the house & area this evening. Although we will be back. Thank you Michael, Eamonn & Margaret. :-)

We had a fantastic weekend at Lagan House in April 2016,with a group of 6 adults, 4 children and 2 babies. The setting of the house beside the beach and with a large, safe garden for the children to play in, suited us perfectly. The large open plan kitchen/dining area surrounded in glass meant we could keep an eye on the children as they played outside and also allows for stunning views of Croagh Patrick on one side and unspoilt Old Head Beach on the other. The house is finished to such a high standard that we were so comfortable there and enjoying it so much it was hard to leave. Michael's brother called into us with delicious homemade breads on our last day which was such a lovely gesture and was great to have Eamon to showing us around the house on the day we arrived. We would definitely return!.

What a fantastic time my husband five kids and I had at lagan house, the house is perfect and of a high standard finish, it has been one of the best places we have stayed with the stunning views of the sea and the back drop of croagh Patrick that is truly wonderful, and I love the layout of the house ...the massive open plan kitchen, dinning and sitting was brilliant and your attention detail in every room and the clever use of mirrors through out, great storage throughout catering for the needs of large family. The kids loved the outside space for kicking the ball around and my youngest boy loved the daily visits from the pheasent lol....there was nothing that I could fault. Less than a couple of minutes from the beach and you can fully appreciate its outstanding location when you have a look across from old head beach pier to see how wonderfully the house sits. Its certainly is five star living but yet you have created it as a home from home with the added luxurious finishings ....perfect . Thanks ever so much for allowing us to stay here and all you help along the way. We never got to say goodbye to Eamon and thank him for his help during our stay so hoepfully you can pass it on as very much appreciated his time. I hope the house was okay on our departure I would have like to have got the beds stripped down and a quick Hoover but we forgot about the time change of the clocks going forward so run out of time lol.....I hope to get back to the lagan house in the near future and pick when the weather will be a bit warmer and we can make good use of the beach and outside facitlties off the bbq area, as this area is also finished to great standard love the combination of cobbling and flag stone and the beautiul trees that line the drive down and I'm sure all your rose bushes look lovely in the summer time as I say nothing that I can fault about the house you have thought of everything. Thankyou
