Newrath Stud

At Newrath Stud we want to provide our guests with a unique experience, be it watching thoroughbred horses being trained to walking the grounds via the bridal path which is 2.2 miles around the perimeter of the farm. Engaging in the on-goings of an equine farm or doing many of the on and off site activities. We welcome you to enjoy this truly unique experience.

Newrath Stud was a purpose built equine farm for the training and breeding of horses. It has stabling for over 80 horses, all weather and cross country gallops, all of the land is in paddocks and the facilities are constantly being upgraded.

Patrick Martin is the resident trainer in Newrath Stables. He currently has 40 horses in training and already this year has had 22 winners, long may this success continue!

Luxury Self Catering Mews Accommodation

The Mews are set in an oval courtyard are designed and fitted out to the highest specifications, from marble floors throughout to an abundance of light from the large glazed screens overlooking the beautiful countryside.
There are nine luxury mews in total and they each accommodate from 4 to 10 guests.
We cater for: Family Holidays, Weekend and Mid Week Breaks, Hunting, Golfing and Fishing Breaks, Family Reunions, Wedding Parties.
Fairyhouse Mews

The Fairyhouse Mews caters for up to 10 people. It's 2500 sq ft with 5 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms ensuite, a main bathroom and a ground floor toilet. Finished to the highest standards with marble floors throughout and a private garden and private parking at the front.
◦2 night weekend: €1000 (equal to €50 per person sharing per night)
◦2/3 night midweek stay: €900 (equal to €30 per person sharing per night)

Leopardstown and Chetenham Mews

The Leopardstown and Cheltenham Mews cater for up to 4 people, they are 900 sq ft with 2 double bedrooms, 1 main bathroom. Finished to the highest standards with marble floors throughout and a private patio to the rear.
◦2 night weekend: €400 (equal to €50 per person sharing per night)
◦2/3 night midweek stay: €360 (equal to €30 per person sharing per night)
Ascot and Meydan Mews

The Ascot and Meydan Mews cater for up to 5 people, they are 1100 sq ft with 1 double and triple bedroom, 1 ensuite bathroom, a main bathroom and ground floor toilet. Finished to the highest standards with marble floors throughout and a private patio to the rear.
◦2 night weekend: €450 (equal to €45 per person sharing per night)
◦2/3 night midweek stay: €450 (equal to €30 per person sharing per night
Churchill Downs, Longchamp, Curragh and Epsom Down Mews

The Churchill Downs, Lonchamp, Curragh and Epsom Downs Mews cater for 2 people, they are 950 sq ft with 1 double bedroom, 1 ensuite bathroom and ground floor toilet. Finished to the highest standards with marble floors throughout and a private patio to the rear. Suitable for 2 adults and one child. Pull out bed.

◦2 night weekend: €260 (equal to €65 per person sharing per night)
◦2/3 night midweek stay: €260 (equal to €44 per person sharing per night)
◦Single person supplement €40 per Mews per night.

Activities on the Farm
Equestrian Activities

Horse riding on the cross country gallop which will be 2.0 miles completion date November 2011.

Horse riding on the jump cross gallops which will be adjacent cross country gallops.

Trekking on the recreational path 2.2 miles long.
Interact with the schooling of the horses, be it animal husbandry or just interacting with the trainer's and staff, witnessing first hand how a professional stables operates.
For the Fitness Conscious

Walking, Running or cycling the recreational path.
Fishing

Take some time out and relax fishing in our well stocked river. A license is required.
Get Your Hands Dirty

Animal husbandry, tending to the poultry, or feeding / tending to the other farm animals.

Market Garden, assist with its maintenance.
