Romantic riverside cottage magnificently set in the heart of the Boyne Valley near Kells in County Meath. Elegantly finished, our comfortable one bedroom cottage overlooks wild countryside,and gardens and is at the edge of a babbling brook. A perfect place to relax and unwind with little to disturb the peace but birdsong. Roses and honeysuckle scent the air in summer.

Nominated for the coveted An Taisce Ellison Environmental Awareness Award, Clonleason has also been included in the Sunday Times' - 50 Cool Cottages in England and Ireland.

The recently accredited 5-star cottage is within easy reach of Dublin & Belfast with many fine golf courses, walks including the Girley Bog Walk, fishing and amazing archaeological sites are close by.

Accommodation

The Lodge has three comfortable and well furnished rooms.

The front door opens into a cute and very well equipped kitchen - dishwasher, microwave, cooker, electric hob and all the necessary tools for home cooking. There is a cozy dining area by the window.

The bright, comfortable sitting room has a high ceiling, an open fireplace, windows on three sides and views over the lovely countryside. Bookcases provide an eclectic collection of books, magazines and music and French doors open onto a terrace and secret garden.

The smartly decorated bedroom has a standard double bed and an en-suite shower room, and will hopefully encourage lazy mornings. 
The private shady garden is planted with Sorbus and wild cherry, while the sunny rose garden, with an arbour and river overlooks unspoiled countryside.

Guests are free to wander into our main garden which has been planted over the years with a mixture of native and ornamental trees and shrubs and may interest garden lovers.

Garden furniture along with logs and coal are provided free.

A Housekeeping service is available on request.
