Enjoyable evening in this fine establishment..drinks before dinner downstairs in nice setting with friendly and efficient bar person.. Without asking was given a wonderful table..23 I think..with fantastic view of St.Stephens green..service was impeccable and food was up to its usual standard It was nice to be recognised as a return customer..

Excellent as always I dont get to this place as often as I'd like to but it is as always top notch. Nice touch last evening John came the table to say hello. I have what I always have the New York Strip. Magic.

"Really enjoyable evening" My partner and I chose Shanahans for our ten year anniversary, and it did not disappoint. The crab starter was excellent. In spite of the size of the rib eye (20oz) we still chose them and were cooked perfectly medium rare. They were immense but we made a good stab at finishing them! The sides are enormous and would easily feed a family of four! We ordered the delicious mashed potatoes, onion rings and broccoli. Needless to say we didn't even put a dent in the sides they were so large. Advice would be to only order two to share and even that is too much! A dessert to share with petit fours to close finished off a great meal. We had a wonderful window seat overlooking Stephens Green in a quiet dining room. We didn't sample much wine as we had a friend order champagne for us in advance. Prosecco was brought over as it was our anniversary and was much appreciated. Service was impeccable, not intrusive at all. Will return but bring more people to help eat it all! Very friendly and warm front of house staff as well.

Expensive but 100% worth it! One lesson in life is always listen to your waiter! We ordered the garlic prawns x2 filet mingon and T bone with mash chips and broccoli we were told that enough and it’s far too much we should have listened ! Food gorgeous my tbone wasn half a cow! Excellent service thank you so much Cormac ! Great experience
