The George V Dining Room at Ashford Castle allows you to dine like royalty. The George V Dining room has a long-standing history of hosting distinguished guests including the Prince of Wales, who went on to become George V of England which then inspired the Guinness family to build a dining room in honour of his visit in 1905. Immerse yourself in the opulent interiors of Waterford Crystal chandeliers, panelled walls, and rich royal blue tones.
There is a range of culinary delights constructed by head Chef Phillippe who believes in 'French heart, Irish produce'. Sample the signature beef served at the carving trolley at your tableside or taste some of the freshest seafood around. Compliment your evening meal with a carefully selected wine pairing from Head Sommelier Paul Fogerty.
Please note there is a dress code for and a dinner jacket is required for gentlemen.

The room it's self is stunning. The food was amazing. They have their own ham harvested right from the property. The sauce was a spicy mustard, excellent. The staff was the most attentive that I have ever seen. Dress code required: Men suit or a jacket will be provided. Ladies where a dress.
