FRANKIE MALLON’S multi award-winning restaurant has got it all. At An Port Mór you’ll find great food using the finest Irish ingredients cooked to perfection.

From the freshest seafood from Clew Bay and Connemara to local vegetables, artisan cheeses and meat reared on lush green fields; they’re all treated with the utmost respect by the kitchen team. Customers won’t allow them to take their House Specials of Pot-Roasted Pig’s Cheek with Kelly’s Black Pudding and 21-day aged Ribeye Steak off the menu. They like to play around a little with ingredients, but they take their food very seriously. Think signature creations that you won’t find anywhere else like Crab Cakes in a Seaweed Polenta and Coffee, Almond and Black Pepper Bread. This is a true West of Ireland restaurant inspired by local produce. It might be raining outside, but inside will always be warm and welcoming.

"Fantastic Food. Great attention to detail"
What an absolute delight to eat here. Superb attention to detail. Quality food. Fantastic service. I cannot fault it. 10/10. Pigs cheeks starter was the highlight! Good value!

"Outstanding meal produced by a superbly talented young chef"
We dined at An Port Mor on the recommendation of our hotel and were not disappointed. We had a late table just before last orders but we're greeted with a warming welcome and the staff took their time with us.

I had the pig cheeks to start which were superb. My fiancée had the goats cheese which was beautifully plated and she assures me were as enjoyed as my pig cheeks.

We opted for a bottle of pinot noir from Germany to go with our mains and it was delicious, I had the Mayo lamb and this was the best lamb I've ever eaten. I also got to enjoy a fair amount of the pork belly which was equally good.

For desert I had the almond and cherry tart which was absolutely delicious also. While we finished up the staff produced homemade lemoncillo which was excellent, not overly sweet or sickly like some commercial brands can be just really refreshing and a nice palate cleanser.

The staff were all wonderful and great craic too. The chef came out to say hi at the end of service and we were shocked by how young he was, at 22 this guy is going places, his food is truly exceptional and the whole experience at an port mor was exceptional also.

"Excellent Meal"
Had a meal here with some friends in late November. We were shown upstairs to a private room which was brilliant as there were 10 of us. We had the tasting menu which was excellent & really good value. We were extremely well looked after by the waiter & it was a most enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.
Look forward to returning sometime.

"Mid week break"
Very impressed by staff when we arrived although restaurant was busy we ( six adults) were seated and given menus and wine list without delay. The food was top class and atmosphere most enjoyable. The bill of fare was very reasonable and we all had an excellent evening. Will definitely be back again...

"A Meal to Remember"
The staff was extremely friendly, funny, and personable, while at all times doing their jobs in a professional manner. My wife and I ordered the chef's tasting menu, and it was out of this world. Fresh food perfectly cooked in a way that might be deceptively simple.

They let the ingredients do the talking, so to speak. The front room holds 3 tables, and made for an intimate evening. First-class food cooked and served by people who obviously enjoy what they're doing. The place is pricey, but we paid far, far less than we'd paid for comparable meals in the past.
