A private dock on the canals of Fort Lauderdale and your own swimming pool by the waterside – this cosy cottage is ideal for boaties and waterbabies. If you’re not exploring the area by kayak, boat or paddleboard, you can rent bikes and go by land. The home is Floridian ranch-style – pretty as a picture and all on one level. The open-plan living, kitchen and dining room is a social spot for the group to gather inside and there’s an additional breakfast nook for morning coffees. You might prefer to dine on the patio outside, though, in the near-constant Florida sunshine.

*This home is all on one level, so it may suit those with limited mobility.
*At capacity, four guests will be on two double sofa beds – one in the dining area and one in the living room. Please note that this would be quite a squeeze.
*For those working remotely, there is an office space here but it is within the main bedroom.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*Having a car is recommended and there is private parking. There is also a private dock to get around by boat, kayak or paddleboard.
