It’s all about escaping the everyday and embracing the vast landscape here – the reserve offers a luscious variety of protected flora and fauna, as well as pristine powdered beaches which are visited by flamingos and loggerhead sea turtles.

You’ll feel instantly at ease here with an expanse of minimal furnishings and light-filled spaces thanks to the calm colour palette and expanse of windows. There are endless options when it comes to finding a calm spot to unwind – take your pick between the plush living room sofas, the tranquil bedrooms with adjoining balconies, or the cushioned benches that line the breakfast room.

It’s easy to immerse yourself in San Lorenzo’s natural beauty at this home, the entire villa is enveloped in olive trees, flora and palms. The serene outdoor area boasts a freeform swimming pool and plenty of lounging space for both shaded reading and sunbathing. There is also a glass-tabled dining area on the balcony, ideal for enjoying those memorable meals in the balmy evenings overlooking the abundant reserve.

Nestled in between Noto and Marzamemi, you’ll have prime access to the Ionian sea. Spend a day paddling the crystal clear shores of Spiaggia di Cittadella, it’s a four-minute walk away. It’s also worth spending a day in the seaside village of Marzamemi, a fourteen-minute drive away, for its charming seafood tavernas and quaint piazzas – make sure you visit the Church of San Francesco di Paola as you meander through the narrow streets with a gelato in hand.
