With expertly landscaped grounds – including a zen-like cactus garden – the home’s outdoors have been designed to match the undulating marshes of the area, while the inviting infinity pool creates a cool blue contrast against the rugged terrain. Spend afternoons lounging on the deck chairs or plunging in the pool. There's also a private air-conditioned gym should you wish to get a workout in. After a day of luxurious relaxation, fun and activities, fire up the barbecue for an alfresco feast and watch the sunset over the reserve from the pergola’s banquet table.

While you could easily spend all day outside in your home’s garden and pool, step through the antique wood front door to be met with a tranquil blend of traditional and modern Italian design inside the villa. With huge picture windows in the lounge and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in the living and dining area, you’ve got plenty to keep you entertained inside should the Sicilian sun get too hot. Factor in the gorgeous bedrooms with their private balconies and terraces – ideal for beginning mornings over espressos and enjoying starlit nightcaps – as well as the breathtaking bathrooms decked out in classic Sicilian majolica tiles, and you’ve got everything you need for a perfectly blissful stay.

When it comes to exploring the local area, drive fifteen minutes to visit Noto and its 18th-century Baroque Cathedral, or head to nearby Calamosche Beach (also fifteen minutes away by car) for a day of sea and sand.
