"The livin’s lazy in New Orleans," sang Elvis Presley – and he’s right. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, but close enough to reach on foot, you could easily stay in and idle away the hours in this comfortable apartment. The open-plan design makes the lounge cool and spacious, with exposed brick walls and framed photographic prints. Equally attractive is the kitchen, kitted out with state-of-the art appliances including a filter coffee machine. The bathroom is chic, the bedroom airy and everything is neat, modern and just as it should be. Outside, it’s a 10-minute stroll to local attractions including the National WWII Museum, or four blocks to the candy-coloured unicorns and papier-mâché dragons at Mardi Gras World. Not enough for you? Then grab a to-go cocktail on vibrant Bourbon Street, just a 15-minute walk away, and listen to live jazz float by as you admire the distinctive architecture.
