Start your day with a stroll along the banks of the Mississippi and a wander through the city streets, stopping at every boutique and bar that catches your eye, before heading back to unwind before the evening’s activities. The home is bright and modern, allowing the bare brick walls and black and white prints to take centre stage, but if you’re seeking a bit of that Louisiana glamour you only have to venture downstairs. The large, lavishly decorated communal lounge is ideal for meeting friends or sinking into a leather armchair after a meal out in one of the city’s world-class seafood joints.

*The host only accepts bookings from guests who live outside of a 60-mile radius
* The sofa folds out into an additional double bed
*You can bring up to two pets but you'll need to check with the host first and there will be a fee to pay
*The bathroom is stocked with toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash), plush towels and washcloths, and a hairdryer
*On-street parking is available in the area but it's metered
