Our stay at the House will be a cherished memory of our time in Ireland. Between the charm of the house and the amazing hospitality provided by Margaret and Mark, this stands out as one of our best stays ever. We loved the authenticity of the home, feeling like we were getting an experience of what it might have been like to live on an Irish country estate a hundred years ago (if they'd had a microwave and Wi-Fi). M&M are wonderful people, and we really enjoyed our conversations with them. They had a number of local recommendations after we explained our interests, and they proved to be perfect. Our day exploring "Graig", the Barrow River walk, and lunch in St Mullins was probably our favorite day of our entire 2 weeks in Ireland. Make sure to check out the nearby Woodstock gardens and arboretum as well.
Our highest recommendation!

If I could give this place six stars, I would. Mark and Maggie, the location, and above all the property itself were all spectacular. It’s a restored priest’s house with character for days, and all the appliances worked as advertised. Don’t expect much in the way of food from Inistioge, but Thomastown (5-10min) has great options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pints—both sit down and takeaway. Short drive to lots of great attractions (Jerpoint, Kilkenny); Inistioge is lovely, as is the surrounding country.
But mostly the property is just outstanding. Beautiful, secluded, and lots of great little quiet spots all over the huge garden. And the hosts couldn’t be more wonderful. All around, absolutely magical place to stay.

"Amazing cottage!!!"

From the moment we drove up to this exquisite cottage we were enchanted! It really is the most perfect place we have ever stayed. You can tell by the attention to detail that the owners have taken with the renovation of the building and interiors that it was a project of love. We were even delighted to be able to compost our leftovers. ..and that was a gift to the local magpie as well. Each evening we stood in the doorway and listened as the rooks came in to roost. We could not have dreamed of a more perfect week to end our first trip to Ireland. I was only sorry that Margaret was out of town and we did not get to meet her. Thanks for a memorable visit!!!

"Lovely quiet stay"
We had a lovely 5-night stay in this little cottage. It was very clean and everything worked. We had kids with us, and they had their own space in the upstairs bedroom. We explored the surrounding area, and even drove to the west coast one day. Our hosts were lovely and we couldn’t ask for a better few days.
