The cottage was lovely, we particularly liked having a big kitchen with a table in it, and having the conservatory in addition to the living room meant more room to spread out. The two bathrooms were also very useful. The location was perfect for walking into town, and also to use as a base to explore further afield.

The cottage was very cosy yet still had plenty of room for a group of 5 adults. It is within easy walking distance of the town and all its facilities.

Warm and welcoming, even on the coldest days in January. A quaint character cottage sympathetically updated with all the mod cons you could want. Perfect location - quiet, but minutes away from Pickering's market street and an excellent base for touring the beautiful Yorkshire countryside villages - we really didn't want to come home!

The cottage was well equipped and very clean. We made use of the log store in the garden to have a lovely fire in the evenings, it was great not to have to buy logs from the shop and to use the cottage honesty box instead. Pickering is a great base for trips out to the coast, Dalby forest, York etc and having Pickering Castle and the NYMR on the doorstep was great for our two adventurous boys. We would certainly return.

We found this a very comfortable cottage to stay in, and a very good location as our holiday base. Pickering is an attractive town to stay in and practical for food shopping etc. It was very handy for visiting York and also for spending some time on the coast at Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay etc.

This is a lovely cottage - located just far enough out of the centre of the town to be quiet. All the facilities of shops, butchers and bakery are just a very short walk away. Pickering itself is a nice small town with everything you need - good pubs shops - and is a really good location for exploring. The cottage is very comfortable with really good quality fixtures, comfy beds, comfy sofas and a well equipped kitchen. It is just a lovely place to spend time.

The cottage was extremely well kitted out. An easy stroll into town and roads to the Moors, coast and city. Although there was no individual parking there was never a problem finding a space. We loved the place and would like to return next spring. Hope it will still be available to rent then!

Pickering is central for so many activities and attractions . The cottage was delightful, a great balance of modern facilities and quaint Yorkshire cottage. The garden is private and a sun trap.
