Delve into its boutiques, then grab a coffee to go and follow the roads snaking down to Douro River –⁠ you'll be there in nine minutes flat.

And when thoughts turn to food, you'll be well fed and watered in this part of town. São Domingos square, with the greatest concentration of restaurants in the city, is just at the end of the street (three minutes on foot) for tasty petisco plates and a glass of something chilled.
