Buckthorn: Porto

A stylish but still practical flat, Buckthorn would make an excellent base from which to explore the city. Bonfim is one of the trendier areas of Porto, and while the flat’s not huge, it’s well equipped, and the balcony is a nice touch. It’s important to know that this doesn’t really feel like someone’s home (for the very good reason that it isn’t), so if you want the sense of a lived-in place, you’re better off elsewhere. When it comes to objective comfort though, Buckthorn does pretty well for itself.

Home truths:
*Other than the TV, there isn't much in the way of entertainment
*While it's nice to have the balcony, there isn't much of a view to speak of
*Two people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room
*Guests will need to bring their own toiletries to this home
