We're big fans of this Palm Springs pad. The single-level layout is ideal for guests with limited mobility, while the pops of colour and mid-century touches compliment the otherwise simple design – we think it works well with the area's retro aesthetic. Out in the garden, a hot tub, terrace, and private pool embody laid-back Cali living. This isn’t a party house, but it works for older families or groups of friends wanting to relax in the desert sunshine. And should you be in the mood for a livelier atmosphere, make your way downtown (just 3 miles away) for restaurants, bars and boutiques.

*Due to the location of this home, we recommend having a car to get the most out of your stay – there's free private parking for up to four cars in the garage and driveway
*The homes here are relatively close together – that said, Palm Springs has strict city-wide noise ordinances, so you shouldn't hear them much during your stay
*There's a desk in the fourth bedroom if you plan to work from home during your stay
*Upon arrival, you'll be able to check yourself in with a smart lock
