"Beautiful location, restful, and just perfect" We stayed at Derryinver last summer for 10 weeks and couldn't have been more pleased. The house is spacious and perfect for a short or extended stay. It is a short walk to town via a picturesque road that is more like a lane. There is so much to do in and around Clifden that I can't list them all here, but in the town you will find pubs, restaurants, bakery, butcher, shops, and much more for all your needs and wants. My husband especially loved going to Le Crepe Wagon on Fridays on Clifden Square for some of the best crepes we've tasted. Kylmore Abbey, Ballynahinch Castle, Clifden Castle, Connemara National Park Inishbofin, are all nearby. The Clifden boat club is a short walk down Beach Road if you are in the mood for a bit of sailing. The Boardwalk Café at the boat club serves delicious food if you are not in the mood to cook in the well outfitted kitchen in the home. The views of Clifden Bay from the bedrooms are stunning. We especially love waking up in the morning to these breathtaking views of the bay, the sailboats skimming the water, and the fishing boats going out for the day. We also enjoy having cocktails and meals on the terrace. There are two. I love grilling so we have enjoyed many a meal of grilled fish, meats, and vegetables. Marie and Charlie Bourke, the owners of Derryinver, couldn't be more accommodating. They made our stay at Derryinver about as perfect as it could be. They are the quintessential example of Irish hospitality, warmth, and kindness. We will be at Derryinver again this summer and consider it our temporary home and wish we could live there!!! If you stay at Derryinver, you will never forget the experience.

"Lovely house, beautiful location" We are very pleased we picked Clifden and Derryinver House as our base for an eight day trip to Connemara. The house is lovely and provided us with everything we needed. It is in a great position, quiet with a fantastic view and within walking distance of the centre of Clifden. There are good restaurants/pubs/food shops in town and lots of places to explore in the surrounding area. In fact we didn't feel the need to venture more than 25km in all directions as we found plenty of good walks to enjoy. It is definitely somewhere we would like to stay again in the future. Thanks again Marie for making your house available.

"Lovely house in good location"
House was roomy and very well equipped. Owners lived next door and were very helpful if we needed advice. House in good location, 10 mins stroll to town and good for local walks. Look forward to a return visit.
