Magical place - feel privileged to have had the chance to stay here
9 of us stayed in this magical castle last weekend, for what is now going to be an annual college reunion event. From the time that we were greeted by Peter who opened the castle for us, to the time that we closed the gates to go home we had the most amazing magical time. The castle itself has been restored lovingly and is a perfect venue for friends or family to get together and catch up. The kitchen can only be described as the quintessential heart of the home and the place where many a cup of tea or maybe even G&T was consumed this weekend. The rest of the accommodation was equally impressive and the little touches organised by staff such as ample hot water bottles and fuel for the fire added to the weekend.
It has to be said however that Peter enhanced our experience - his knowledge of the property, of history, his wit, his texts checking in to make sure we were having a great trip plundering and pillaging, his character and his stories set the tone for the weekend - every one of our guests that didn't have the privilege to meet him were treated to his stories.
Suffice to say - we have booked for next year already and can't wait
