I had business to attend to for one week in February and chose the self-catering option as it appeared cheaper. Great little apartment, clean, warm and well equipped. Gentleman who showed me around pointed out welcome pack, bread, butter, milk, cookies - nice touch, but I could not avail because I can't eat gluten. I asked him to take them away lest they go to waste. Darned key card would not work on TWO different evenings, and since there is a bit of a hike between hotel reception (where you check in for the apartments) and the apartment itself, I phoned over to explain my dilemma - I'm stuck in the rain here! (and no, I did not store the key card with my phone - Oh, wait, maybe I did). Fair enough, someone was over in a flash, great service. But the next day, the key again failed and this time I was sure to keep it separate from my phone. Took a little longer this time, but someone did come, very apologetic and all that. Then I discovered that some kind soul had dropped Crunchie bars in for me - they are gluten-free, nice touch. The walls are a tad thin, so you can hear your neighbours flushing the loo, and shouting at the kids, but that did not spoil my stay as it was seldom an issue.
