Lovely property and just minuets from the beach. We stayed for 5 nights with the kids. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. The house is gorgeous and very well thought out. We had more than enough space. Would definitely recommend to others.

One of the nicest spots on our trip! It had everything we could have asked for - beach closeby, beautiful scenery etc. The house is very large and can accomodate a large family or group. It's immaculately clean and very well equipped with plenty of natural light. This location is truly exceptional!

As a family of six we landed at Cregg Lodge full of anticipation for the summer break. We were greeted by Eileen who provided us with some refreshments and some homemade brown bread to start us off. The warm welcome was only the beginning. We have holidayed in Ireland for the last number of years and Cregg Lodge can be described as being the best equipped house of them all. It is very well laid out with sufficient facilities to cater for a family of six. It's location is ideal as a starting point to explore West Cork.

We will definitely look to stay at Cregg Lodge in the future. Many thanks to Eileen and Frank for making our stay in West Cork a great experience.

We recently returned from one of many summer trips to Ireland . Our experience at Cregg House was exceptional. Our Hosts Eileen and Frankie could not have been more accommodating in their efforts to ensure that we would have everything that we required during our two week stay.

Having stayed in this area every summer for 15 years, we can truly say that the house is on the top of our list of places to rent again. The home is situated in a quiet valley within minutes walking to a lovely peaceful bay. Our grandchildren were delighted to have farm animals nearby as well as toys to play with.

The lay-out of the home allows everyone to be together or to have privacy when required. The kitchen was well equipped and although the house is off the main roads it was still easy to access.

We hope to return in 2015 and thanks again Eileen and Frankie !

The first thing to say is that Eileen is a lovely, warm and welcoming host, who, despite not being there on the day of arrival, made every effort to communicate with us to arrange for someone to be there to welcome us with her lovely gifts of home-made brown bread, wine, logs for the fire etc. etc. We felt that she was going to look after us before we even met her and this was in fact the case. The house was lovely and warm and we were given freedom to put on the heat and water when we needed to boost the heating (which we rarely needed to). The price was great as it was all inclusive and we hardly needed to do anything as the house runs very smoothly. There are plenty of bathrooms, which is a real plus when there are 4 adults and 4 kids living under the same roof. Our Swiss friends came with their two kids and we felt that the house had lovely spacious bedrooms and plenty of space to play outside. There were even some great toys available to us in the utility room and the kids played with them on the lovely lawn. There was Sky TV, which was great (but no wifi -but it really didn't matter as we could do our emailing /internet while out on drives). The village of Glandore is extremely quiet and with that I mean, there is only one pub, but you could drink in the view!! On a sunny day the view was so beautiful, even at a short walk from the house we could see the beautiful sea and islands in the distance. Most days we went to the most fabulous beach at Inchydoney (worth the drive!!) and we also visited Schull for cute arty shops. Clonakily Supervalu was a real plus as we could get lovely fresh meats / fish / olives / cheese / wine and the staff were excellent. There is even a Lidl in I think, Skibbereen. The nights were restful as we sat by a cosy log fire (all logs were supplied generously by Eileen) and the nights were tranquil. I really enjoyed this holiday and would recommend this lovely holiday home to all my friends.
