West Cork Ocean View

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the welcome basket with local goods, house perfectly presented and Carla meeting us on our arrival, it was a lovely start to our holiday.
The house was ideal for us, the children really enjoyed the pool table and table tennis table, and their grandparents enjoyed relaxing in the living rooms over looking the bay. We had some lovely weather so we got to relax on the terrace, walk to a local pier for swims and then to the lovely local restaurants.
We hadn’t been to the area before so John’s information guide on beaches, walks and restaurants was gratefully received and well used.
Perfect house and location for a holiday, would definitely recommend.

Just back from a week long stay at the Oceanview Glandore. What can I say only stunning. We were greeted by Carla on our arrival and could not have been more helpful. The house was very well presented with endless features. The view from the house over the bay was just jaw dropping. The mature gardens lead down to a secret fire pit area, great for star gazing with a glass of wine. On the way down to the town you pass a small entrance to an absolutely beautiful bay, a must see. Thanks again Carla for a wonderful well needed break

Just back from a week long stay at the Oceanview Glandore, what can I say only stunning. We were greeted by Carla on our arrival and could not have been more helpful. The views from the house over the bay are breath taking and the mature gardens lead down to a secret fire pit area, great for star gazing with a glass of wine. Do not miss the sundown over the mountains.The house is extremely well presented with endless features and plenty of room. You will find a small bay on the way to the town, perfect for a morning or evening swim. Glandore is by far the most picturesque part of Ireland by a long shot, will definitely be back soon. Thanks again Carla for a wonderful break in what I can only say is the finest part of our small island.

This place is an absolute gem and perfect for getaways with a large family or group of friends. The house is very spacious with plenty of areas to relax, a really nice veranda area with a bbq and the views over the harbour are exceptional. The property is located about an 8 minute walk from Glandore. There was a lovely welcome basket waiting for us full of all local produce; a really nice touch. On arrival Carla gave the group a great summary of the house, it’s features and local amenities that were on offer. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she left her contact details in case we needed anything. All in all, a five star stay in beautiful west Cork! Many thanks John and Carla!

John, I'd like to say that we had a fabulous time at your beautiful house in Glandore. The house was absolutely amazing with stunning views. Three floors and plenty of space with numerous en suite bedrooms. Very luxurious fit out with every modern convenience. The WiFi was super fast fibre and there were several TV's in different rooms all connected to Netflix and Sky. The grounds and garden were beautiful and private. Plenty of space for car parking. Walking distance to the lovely village of Glandore with restaurants, bars and shops. Swimming in the sea off the local pier. Local village with super market 5 mins in a car. John was very helpful when we made and arranged the booking and kept in touch over the 9 days we spent at the house. Carla showed us around the property and explained everything in detail with regard to the facilities and locality. Both very helpful. I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful house summer or winter. We will return there sometime in the future. Ed

How lucky you are if you stay in magical Glandore at John's amazing house! It will be hard to force yourself to try the fun restaurants in town or to go on excursions, as the setting and views are so perfect you will be tempted to stay put. We had 10 people for a "finding our Cork roots" family vacation, and had plenty of room to be together as well as be alone. It was a perfect week.

Stunning house, beautifully designed yet incredibly comfortable (beds are amazing, showers are fantastic). We didn’t want to leave. 10 minute walk to the restaurants and pubs in glandore village. We loved everything about this house.

Spent a lovely weekend with friends recently at this amazing house. It’s spacious, comfortable, with every you could need and of course the location is unbeatable.

The balcony gives panoramic views over the bay and is just perfect for an evening watching the sunset and catching up with old friends!

The house would be fantastic for family holidays too with the games room, spacious living areas and walking distance to local restaurants, pubs, shops and the shore for a refreshing dip!

"Beautiful luxurious home'
About 2 minutes drive/10 minutes walk from the picturesque centre of tiny Glandore village. Stunning house, fantastic standard of accommodation, with the most comfortable superking size beds, fantastic showers, fluffy bath towels, beautiful living areas and a stunning view from the outside terrace. We bravely took a dip in the small pebble beach that's about a five minute walk away one morning. Strolled to the village for dinner, and a pint of Guinness to wash it down on the way home. The walk to the village is short but hilly++. The house not suitable for younger children as there is a lot of hard shiny marble flooring, and it's over three floors of accommodation. Walking shoes are recommended for getting about in the evenings, if you want to go to the village, as local taxis are a relatively rare commodity. We actually preferred staying in in the evenings, having done some shopping in the fantastic Skibbereen market on the Saturday morning.

What a haven! This holiday home is so fabulous, Location offers 360° views of the stunning Glandore Bay and beyond towards Mizen head . Set on a hillside in a large private plot full of lush mature gardens with little stream and unique flowering trees, shrubs and bedding plants all linked by meandering paths leading to some private sun bathing /relaxing spaces. The house has been carefully designed to offer spectacular views from any of the rooms, yet has an ease of functional flow throughout with three reception rooms , large kitchen-dining area that accommodates large groups. The interior design is classic luxurious of top quality. The windows had guilt thread brocade draping , plush upholstery and bed linen.very high thread count sheets with very comfortable mattresses.
We enjoyed the large outside veranda for breakfast alfresco and after dinner drinks. We didn’t want to leave! Great facilities, oh and the showers are really superb. WiFi could have been better but I heard that is being sorted. (Some would say not having great WiFi , is the idea when on a break) A five minute walk brought us to the local pubs for great food and drink , but the highlight was a morning swim in the crystal clear waters of Glandore beach. We can’t wait to go back. P
