That’s not to mention restaurants serving Tuscan fare and cosy little wine bars at every turn. Inside, ancient frescoes and a striking coffered ceiling are in keeping with your historic surroundings. The refectory-style dining table is huge – perfect for gathering and entertaining – and the kitchen has everything you need for self-catering. With two on the sofa bed and an open mezzanine bedroom, it’s not the most private at capacity but it certainly captures the spirit of Florence.

*While there is no free parking here, paid public parking is available nearby. However, in the centre of Florence, it is easier to explore on foot than by car.
