Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ireland had supported Ukraine "since the very first days" of Russia's invasion despite its policy of military neutrality. Mr Zelensky was addressing a joint sitting of the Irish houses of parliament.

However, unlikely, the Dancing with the Stars Ukraine champion in 2016 and star of 'Servant of the People' (TV Series 2015–2019) has become a global figurehead.
