Longueville House in County Cork

One of Ireland's dreamiest best kept secrets, Longueville House is attracting attention as a magical wedding venue both for Irish and international visitors.

The 18th century boutique country house is set in a private 450 acre wooded estate with a walled garden and much of its popularity stems from the fact that there's easy access to the airport with Cork city only half an hour away and the airport only 50 minutes.

There's a real-life quality to Longueville with a working farm and gardens on the estate set beautifully in to the Blackwater Valley, Co. Cork. There's an unpretentious feel to it and it's now available for exclusive rental to wedding parties in excess of 70 guests.

One of the most dreamy elements at Longueville is the Turner Conservatory c1865 which is a sumptuous Victorian glass house. Run by William and Aisling O'Callaghan they offer 'farm to fork' dining cuisine that is receiving rave reviews.

Cork is known for its gourmet culture and the couple are the driving force behind the working farm, gardens and distillery ensuring the seasonal produce with the freshest ingredients comes to the table served to perfection and the hosts continue to develop a huge reputation for excellent food and warm hospitality.

The beautiful late Georgian house is accessed by a curving avenue and one of the highlights is a majestic group of oak trees in the front field, planted in 1815 to celebrate Wellington's victory at the Battle of Waterloo.

The estate also contains a 25 acre cider apple orchard used to produce an artisan cider on-site some of which is double-distilled into an apple brandy.

This dreamiest of locations is one of Cork and Ireland's finest country escapes, rich in historic character and traditional charm perched beautifully in the valley from the hillside.
