Imagine a dining experience in an elegant country manor, surrounded by magnificent gardens that span seven acres of stunning woodland. Peacocks strut by an Italian loggia, paths and bridges lead past a trout lake and coastal birds swoop over the estuary. This wonderful romantic setting offers exquisite food, prepared by our caring chefs, Emma and Geraldine. Vegetables and salads are either picked straight from our vegetable garden at Kilmokea or provided by a local organic farmer. We use Herbamare to season our food. This is a blend of organically grown herbs that are combined with natural sea salt and marinated for one year.
Lunch The Georgian Tea Room has been named as the fourth best tea house in the world. Located in the conservatory, with stunning views over the River Barrow and the seven-acre walled garden, we continue to delight our customers all year round. Delicious fare ranging from Organic soup and home-baked brown bread to a more substantial Lamb & Rosemary sausages served with a herb champ, and a red wine reduction is followed by a selection of homemade cakes, tarts, scones, and bread with fresh marmalades and jams, and not forgetting Terese's famous flapjacks.
Dinner Dinner is served in the main dining room at 7.30 pm. A Seasonal Organic three-course table d'hote is served with mouth-watering delights cooked by our resident chef. Type of Cuisine: Irish / International
Such a lovely magical place. Beautiful food, friendly staff. I was even allowed to bring my dog to the garden dining area. I will certainly be returning to Kilmokea Country Gardens.

"Lovely hotel" We stayed for one night en route to the West coast of Ireland and one night on the way back, and wished we could have stayed longer. You will find a very friendly and relaxed welcome at this small boutique hotel, which is off the beaten track and set in beautiful countryside. Emma and Mark couldn’t have been more helpful and the food is absolutely delicious. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen.

"Highly recommended" we stayed at kilmokea for a treat for my mums birthday, and it really was a huge treat. the staff were all super; friendly, and helpful. the room was very generous size (3 of us stayed in the peacock room), and comfortable.
the food was outstanding, a very special meal for dinner, great attention to detail, generous portions and flavoursome, and breakfast was also delicious.
The grounds and gardens are stunning, so many little nooks and crannys to find and sit in to enjoy the peace and quiet. this is the perfect place to visit for anyone who enjoys gardens, and nature. We really enjoyed our visit.

"The food alone will have you coming back" The food is mouthwatering then there’s the beautifully appointed country manor with luxurious rooms and a self catering apartment, tennis court, pool, jacuzzi and 7 acres of enchanting gardens, you are welcomed like an old friend and treated like royalty. Not to mention the fabulous location in Ireland’s sunny south east with views to die for and castles around almost every corner.
