Weddings at Killashee

Attended a wedding here Super venue, amazing building excellent food, very pleasant staff Fabulous wedding

Was at a wedding reception, wonderful location, atmosphere, food surroundings, luxury in a very unique setting. Wonderful staff, who make you feel very special.

Attending a wedding, realy enjoyed my short stay. Beautiful food. All so Lovely.

"We had our wedding day on Friday 20th of November 2020 in the midst of Level 5 COVID 19 restrictions, and we can honestly say we wouldn't change anything for the world. As fabulous as the Thomson Suite is, where we planned our original wedding to be, the Original House Venue is simply breathtaking for an intimate wedding. The decor & rooms are stunning. From the minute it became a realisation that our original wedding was not going to happen, the wedding team were an absolute pleasure to deal with in terms of how reassuring & helpful they were with the whole situation.

No matter what question or query we had, they were always obliging & replied to every email & phone call almost straight away. They just wanted to make sure our day was as special & memorable as possible. After all the changes & unknown & multiple discussions about this scenario or that scenario they had every detail to a tee the day of the wedding.

The food & service on the day was also impeccable. Each person said it was the tastiest beef they had ever eaten. The only complaint was the abundance of food & everyone was so full. I may be biased, but in my opinion, it was the nicest & tastiest wedding menu I have ever had.

I can wholeheartedly say, that if we were to do it all again tomorrow, there is not a thing we would change and we will definitely be heading to Killashee for any future family events."

"When we were searching for our venue for our big day; Killashee was the third place we viewed, and it was a case of third time lucky. As soon as we took a walk around the stunning Original House, we knew it was the one. We fell in love witht he intimate space, elegant features of each room and the beautifully maintained grounds. We secured our date (of course with no idea what was to come!)

We were determined to stick with our November 2020 date, no matter what restrictions were being announced. Even with all the uncertainty in the months and weeks leading up to our big day; the wedding team at Killashee were always so positive, flexible & reassuring. In the end, we had to cut our guestlist to 24. Our day was looking very different to the one we had originally planned but, as it turned out, it was far better than we could ever have imagined.

We genuinely had the most perfect day. everything ran like clockwork; the staff were fantastic, the food was incredible, and the style of the Original House worked so well for our group.We're all still talking about it 3 weeks later and I have a feeling we'll be talking about it for years to come! We can't wait to go back for our anniversary (possibly with our guests in tow as they're looking for any excuse to return too!)

" Thank you Killashee for making our wedding day so special at the end of November 2019. What an absolutely wonderful venue and setting it is for a wedding. Can I just say to all couples, when you come to Killashee a month or so in advance for the food and wine tasting, make sure you book and stay the night. The food is fantastic and the wine keeps flowing, The medallions of beef are mouth watering!

We held our wedding ceremony in the Belling Suite in the modern part of the hotel. The moment we walked into the room, at the time of our initial viewing, we knew that this was the perfect location. The atmosphere and classical setting , without any stuffiness, was the perfect place for our Humanist ceremony. Thank you Darren, who wonderfully co-ordinated our wedding day, for keeping us both so calm and relaxed as the time of the ceremony approached. Everybody attending the ceremony commented on the Belling Suite and the good will and lovw in the rom of our guests was a joy to behold. Thank you Natalie and Jen for helping co-ordinate the day and nothing that we asked for in advance was too much for them to accomodate.

We got so lucky on our day with the weather and the sun shone as we had our offical photographs taken in the beautiful grounds of Killashee. Thank you again Darren for guiding us through the shrubbery and holding the wine glasses and the bride's shawl as we shivered and smiled for the camera.

Can I just say, that we are so pleased to have chosen the Old Country House for the reception. A short walk within the hotel to the Country House was appreciated by our guests and the Bellini's and canapes went down a treat. Although it was the end of November, we waned a Christmas feel to our wedding and Killashee did not let us down. The fantastic Christmas tree and decorations and tealights brought the festive season to our day. The dining room was stunning and can I take this opportunity to compliment Niamh, our personal server, for her professionalism and good humour throughout the meal. Everybody commented on the fantastic food that was served; not only was it tasty and delicious, but it kept coming. The only criticism we received from some of our guests was that there was too much good food and they didnlt get a chance to try as much of the desserts as they would have liked!

All in all, Killashee Hotel and the wonderful staff provided us and out guests with a day to remember. We have already booked to stay for our anniversary and Michelle and myself cannot praise you highly enough for the memories that you have given us."

We attended a wedding weekend at this fabulous hotel . It was a fantastic weekend from start to finish . Such a welcoming venue and I will look forward to returning. The staff were keen to please and the food was beautiful! Thank you!

Great wedding location
Attended a friends wedding here. It was fabulous from start to finish. The grounds are fabulous for photographs. Bedroom was lovely. And breakfast was delicious. The meal at the reception was delicious and the room a perfect size.

"Wedding heaven"
Here for a wedding and from reception till we left two days later the staff could not have done more for us! Lovely room and food, excellent choice at breakfast and wedding dinner, top class. Lovely gardens and plenty of parking too. A great stay. Thanks all.
