The St David's Hotel Weddings

"Friends Wedding"
Really impressed with our stay at this hotel. Stayed 2 nights for our friends wedding and really enjoyed the facilities. Whilst this hotel is clearly geared towards wedding and business events the staff couldn't be more helpful to us. Our one year old son was with us and when we asked for ice too cool his bottles they provided us with a fridge as well. Nothing was too much trouble and they really looked after us at breakfast times. The venue for the wedding was great and the food first class.

Our Perfect Wedding Day
We had our wedding day on 25/05/17 at St Davids hotel - it was perfect!

I stayed in the Master Suite with my mum the night before the wedding. We had sparkling wine, Welsh cakes, chocolate and fruit waiting for us.

The suite - Room 313

Large clean suite...as you walk in there's a dining table and chairs, to the left a book shelf with a selection of books. To the right of the open plan living area is a desk and a corner sofa with a large tv. Floor to ceiling windows give you a fantastic view of the bay. There are two balconies - one in the living area, one in the bedroom. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and modern. Good quality molten brown bathroom bits included.

Wedding day

We opted for an intimate wedding of immediate family and closest friends to the day. Our ceremony was held in the penarth suite, we had our drinks reception on the terrace with access to the waves bar. While we had our drinks on the terrace, the penarth suite was readied for our wedding breakfast. 17 of us around one big table made it feel special and intimate - just as we wanted it! The staff couldn't do enough for us, and interacted so well with our 3 year old son. The food was incredible and drinks were always flowing.

We had our reception in the Ronald Dahl Suite. Everything was perfect.

I took all of our decorations etc to the venue the day before - they set everything up perfectly! Even better than I imagined it!

Claire was the operations manager who ran the day - I really can't express how lovely, professional and incredible at her job she is! The whole day ran smoothly and was very relaxed.

St Davids surpassed all of our expectations and we had the most perfect wedding day! The room was gorgeous and the staff were amazing! Whether you're staying there, having a meal there, using the spa facilities or hosting your special day there - we did it all, and it was perfect! You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I had our wedding here back in April. There is literally nothing bad I can say about the St Davids hotel. Our day was absolutely fantastic and everything was done to perfection.
We've booked our wedding 2 years before and all the preparation and communication between us and the coordinator was really easy. Gemma our wedding coordinator at the time made us feel so special and excited for our big day from the first day we came .
On our special day we were looked after by Claire and her team which provided us with their outstanding service and made us feel so important.
All our family and friends enjoyed the food and wine we picked on our menu tasting which was very hard as everything was absolutely delicious. There was a few changes to the menu we wanted to be served to our guests and the head chef was more than happy to come over to our table to personally discuss the choices and make sure all our guests dietary requirements were met. Overall the whole experience with the St David's Hotel was absolutely perfect and the all of the St David's team made our day very enjoyable and memorable.

My son had his Wedding Reception there, from the time we arrived to the time we left next morning, the staff went out of there way to make sure that our stay and wedding went flawlessly. The wedding breakfast was outstanding everyone commented especially on the beef .The Hog Roast later that night was to a standered you would expect from a 5 star hotel. All of the staff were friendly and nothing was not to much trouble for them to do.We would like to say thankyou to Claire who was Alex & Angelika s wedding co ordinator and to the Toast Master,& concierge were also outstanding.
