Temple House Weddings Sligo

What a pleasant and beautiful place to stay! Big room, comfy bed, nice bathroom and beautiful historical furnishings and paintings and it is fun to be hosted by the 4th+ generation of family living there. The Knights Templar castle ruins on the property is a bonus! One of the best breakfasts we have had traveling here. Worth coming!

We recently attended a wedding at Temple House. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The house is stunningly beautiful, has a warm and welcoming feel to it, and it is in a magical setting.
The rooms were very comfortable, the food delicious, but most importantly of all the service was impeccable. The staff are outstanding, no detail is over looked, and they are so friendly and welcoming to guests.

Temple House is a true gem. We stayed there for five nights during August 2022, and also hosted our wedding there. First of all, the actual house is beyond gorgeous - the pictures do not do it justice. The gardens, the lake and old temple ruins in the background create the most idyllic setting. Not only is the house beautiful, historic, and well-maintained, the staff is incredible. Every single person went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay. Our wedding day was everything that we had imagined and so much more. As we are from the US, it was a little scary planning a wedding so far away from home and not seeing the venue until a few days before the ceremony. However, Roderick and his team were so easy to work with, and they all truly went above and beyond. If you are going to Ireland and are interested at all in the Sligo area, I highly recommend that you stay at Temple House. It's close enough to the town that you can easily tour the famous Strandhill Beach, Benbulben (Ireland's table mountain), and Sligo town, but it's also tucked away enough that you truly feel like you are on a country holiday. It's the best of both worlds. Also, if you are even considering hosting a party or event and you've come across Temple House, just do it. Roderick, Diandra, Chef Vickie, PJ, and so many more make an incredible team and will ensure that your special event will be just that: special and memorable. They've truly got something very special going for them, and I hope you'll decide to experience it for yourself.

A “Must Stay” in Ireland
We loved our stay at Temple House!!! It’s better than Downton Abbey because it’s REAL . Roderick and Helena are wonderful hosts and more than happy to share the history and stories of their home (all 100 rooms worth). Roderick is the 5th generation of Perceval’s to own the land and manor and has done a wonderful job of keeping it’s character while modernizing it. Dinner with all the guests around the big table in the dining room is just a treat like none other. The food is 5 star and the atmosphere is like stepping back in time. I kept waiting for Carson and Mrs. Crawley to appear!
I just wish we could have stayed longer!!! Staying at Temple House has been the absolute highlight of our trip!

"Just magical!"
This historical manor house is very impressive, not to be out-done by hosts Roderick and Helena, who went above and beyond to make my stay amazing, comfortable and welcoming. Beautiful surroundings, bleating sheep, towering ancient trees, so peaceful and magical. Delicious gourmet food, and an impressive wine list. It is the place to stay when in Sligo and it's close to many ancient sites like Carrowmore. You must visit here!!

21 of us spent two nights at the Temple House in June 2019 as part of a two week 50th birthday celebration for our son-in-law. The Temple House stay was outstanding. It was an authentic step back in time but with all the comforts we have come to expect. Roderrick and Helena, the owners, are perfect hosts.Their family has owned the 1000 acres for 300+years. The Irish breakfast breakfasts are generous and delicious. We had one dinner there and dined like royalty. The stories in the paintings that Roderick tells are worth the price of admission. Explore the Knights Templar Castle 1000 year old ruins and walk the sheep meadows but remember to where the "wellies" they provide.

"Highlight of our trip"
My family and I had the pleasure of staying at the Temple House for two nights (we had planned for one night only but we loved it so much that we stayed an additional night). The house was magnificent. Our bedroom had a beautiful view of the castle ruins and lake. Dinner in the great hall was a wonderful experience, the food was fantastic! Most of all we enjoyed the opportunity to share a meal and mingle with the other guests and engage in lively after dinner conversation. It was an unforgettable experience. Rodrick was a super host!

"One of the Best in Ireland!"
My husband were very fortunate to stay for our 25th anniversary. The host and staff were extremely gracious and made us feel like royalty but down to earth and very social. The chef prepared meals were beyond exquisite. We enjoyed the family style meals and met some very fun people who stayed during our visit. This is by far well worth the stay and one we will definitely come back to!
