Then hop over the river to discover Rome's historic centre (half an hour on foot) – or there's a metro station just three minutes from your door if you'd rather give your feet a rest. And when it's time to escape the crowds, take to the green hills of Parco di Monte Ciocci (ten minutes on foot) to admire panoramic views of St. Peter's Basilica – best seen at sunset. Back at home, while this fresh, modern apartment may be compact, we think it's rather perfectly formed. There's all you could need for a bolthole in the city, including a sleek kitchen space for firing up the coffee pod machine and rustling up some breakfast.
