If you want a holiday home with history, then look no further. This converted sixteenth-century stone watermill still boasts its original medieval staircase and the millstones where bread and pasta were once made. Lazy days can be spent lounging by the saltwater swimming pool, taking a dip in the waterfall at the bottom of the garden, or firing up the pizza oven for an alfresco feast. And as no trip to Tuscany would be complete without sampling some of the locally produced wine, your host can arrange a private wine-tasting session at the home. Location-wise, you’re near the town of Reggello, famous for its olive oil, and ever-popular Florence is within driving distance.
