Ideally located in Venice’s Santa Croce neighbourhood, this contemporary gem is within easy walking distance of the city’s historic hotspots, cultural institutions and canals. You’ll need to climb some stairs to reach this first-floor apartment, but once inside you’ll be welcomed in by sleek designs and original beams. The space is practical, with plenty of room for a couple or solo traveller. Though it could be a little brighter, we love the modern kitchen for whipping up negronis and pasta at home. That said, you’ll have your pick of Venice’s authentic eateries on your doorstep.

If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask. *Should you wish to pick up some extra supplies, the closest supermarket is a few metres away.
