Basilica Bliss: Veneto

How's that for a view? Looking directly out over St. Mark's Basilica and Square and with the water in the background, you wouldn't be blamed for spending a sizeable portion of your trip on the balcony here. Don't snub the interior, though – there are several nooks you can break off into, meaning it's perfect for two couples who might want some alone time. If you're a family, the two single beds, both on the smaller side, are ideal for kids. And when you want to explore, the excellent location means you'll find things to do in all directions.

Home truths:
*At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the small single beds in the living area. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. *If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace. *This home is located within an apartment building, with a shared entrance. Expect to bump into other guests during your stay.
