If you've got a momentous occasion looming on the distant horizon and need somewhere jaw-droppingly special in which to celebrate, we present this pair of villas nestled away on the Sorrentine peninsula.

It's a part of the world in which you'll want to spend as much time out in the sunshine as possible and here you're blessed with ample opportunities to do so, whether you're paddling about in the swimming pool, reading in one of the garden's shady spots or enjoying dinner straight off the barbecue out on one of the terraces. There's even a rooftop space from which you can gaze out at views of the Amalfi Coast and the isle of Capri.

There's plenty to like inside, too. We feel obliged to start by drawing attention to the spa area, which includes a hot tub, sauna and mini-gym, as well as a pool table. The design throughout is fresh and contemporary, with a few rustic nods in the shape of exposed stone walls, terracotta floors and pretty tiling in the kitchen.

When it comes to seeing a little more of the local area, the centre of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi is just over five minutes away on foot and offers a handful of restaurants and shops. You'll find a wider selection, plus historic attractions, in the coastal city of Sorrento, only twenty minutes' drive away.
