Nestled away in a peaceful spot in the Puglian countryside, there's a rustic feel to this collection of trulli, particularly with the exposed stonework and archways to be found in many of the sleeping quarters. However, it won't take you long to find a few more recent additions to the address.

Chief among them is the long swimming pool out in the garden, which is sure to see plenty of use during summer afternoons. Once you're done splashing about, you can retire to one of the loungers with a book in hand or light up the stone barbecue ahead of a languorous dinner on the terrace.

We should probably mention the fact that, due to the traditional nature of the architecture, some of the rooms are a little on the cramped side, but we have a sneaking suspicion that you'll be spending as much time outside possible here, especially with the wealth of attractions that lie nearby. The historic centre of Ostuni is only 7km away, while Torre Santa Sabina is a 15km journey as well.
