You’ll find evidence of this restored old mill’s history, just outside Alhaurín el Grande, Andalusia. Original features have been preserved in the mill hall and kitchen, and an old millstone has been turned into a table for al fresco dinners, thanks to a full outdoor kitchen. In the orchard-fringed garden, there are several shaded terraces and patios and an inviting private pool to cool off. It’s a little dated inside, but some would say this adds to the country charm, especially the fireplace in the living room. The kitchen has all the basics, but you’ll really want to spend days outside, barbecuing, wandering the orchards and swimming in the pool.

*One of the bedrooms has a set of bunk beds, so would be best suited to children. For those working remotely, there is a desk and Wifi booster in here.
*The home has a higglety-pigglety layout with various steps and stairs. So, it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
*The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot for free. You'll need to request it in advance.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There is plenty of private parking.
