Tucked away in the middle of Bairro Alto, this convent conversion is a calm refuge for those who want a central location – but without the noise for the most part. Parts of the original structure can still be seen in the studio, such as the arch in the bedroom and the communal terrace, reminding us of the building's rich history. While the studio's own design is more functional than aesthetic, it has plenty of light, some lovely ceramic details and a lovely garden for that sweet Lisbon sun.
Home truths: * At maximum occupancy guests three and four sleep on a sofa in the living room
* There is no wall separating the sleeping and day area, so if this is a dealbreaker, you might want to look elsewhere
* We felt that the bathroom needs a style update
