Just outside Varenna, in the charming lakeside hamlet of Perledo, this apartment has views an eagle would envy. From the furnished private terrace, you’ve got a panoramic view of Lake Como, flanked by (often snow-tipped) mountains. This is the perfect spot to gather for evening meals, or sunset cocktails on the huge outdoor sofa. Inside, you’ll find nods to tradition in the big, sunny living area, like the old hearth in the full kitchen – don’t worry, there’s a modern gas stove and oven too. The three main bedrooms boast views of the lake, but the fourth sleeping area is a little less glam – a set of bunk beds in a communal hallway.

*One of the sleeping spaces contains a set of bunk beds and is in a corridor-like communal room which isn't the most lavish space.
*All the bedrooms are upstairs, so this place may not suit those with limited mobility.
*The terrace is private but there is also a ground-floor garden shared with the other apartments in the building.
*Having a car is recommended. The apartments comes with two private parking spaces in the building.
