This home is where history and modern sustainability meet. Period furniture, frescoes and traditional architecture all nod to the heritage here, but the estate looks to the future with renewable energy sources, vegan toiletries, EV charging and an eco-friendly approach with zero environmental impact. Four apartments may mean occasionally bumping into a neighbour or two when sharing the natural swimming pool, but each apartment has a private garden with a table for alfresco dining. Location-wise, you're in the tranquil countryside beloved by Leonardo da Vinci, and driving from village to village is a good way of seeing as much of it as possible.

Home truths:
*At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in a separate bedroom.
*The communal swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*We suggest hiring a car for ease – there's free parking available.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*You won't find a welcome hamper or basic essentials here, so we'd recommend packing some bits and bobs to get you started. The nearest food shops are within driving distance.
*The double bed is made up of two single mattresses pushed together.
