This duplex apartment is an excellent option for a base in central Madrid. It’s filled with light and has all the amenities you might need during your city break. One of the beds is a mattress without a bed frame, and as it’s at mezzanine level above the living room it’s not entirely private. This room also doubles as a workspace for anyone needing to catch up on work. We love the location of this home, just a ten-minute walk from Atocha station and within easy reach of shops, restaurants, and many of Madrid’s best museums, including Museo Nacional del Prado.
Home truths: *One of the bedrooms has a mattress on the floor on the mezzanine level. The mezzanine is semi-open to the floor below so it’s not entirely private. The ceiling is sloped, too, so taller guests will need to take care.
*Bedroom one can be closed from the living room with sliding doors to create more privacy.
*There are stairs to climb at this home, so it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.
*If you need to work during your stay, there’s a desk in the mezzanine bedroom.
*You can park your car at this home, though as parking in Madrid can be tricky we recommend sticking to the city’s easily accessible public transport.
*Given this home’s central location, there’s a chance you may hear some street noise here.
