The City of Joy: Lisbon

Overlooking Amoreiras Garden, this ideally located apartment is a peaceful place to return to after busy afternoons spent eating, drinking and sightseeing around Lisbon. Rato metro station is only a short walk away, and there are bus routes on the doorstep. Inside, two guests will sleep on the double bed in the living space – while there is a curtain, it’s not the most private set-up, and there isn’t much in the way of storage. With that said, we think this place is great for a short sojourn.

Home truths:
*If you’ll be staying with a little one, your host can provide a cot and high chair upon request.
*If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace.
*A curtain separates the double bed from the living space, which may not suit our more private guests.
*Your host asks that noise is kept to a minimum from 10pm to 8am.
*As this apartment is located in an old building, you may hear your neighbours from time to time.
