This traditional Victorian terraced house in the York suburb of Heworth has been given a contemporary makeover with skylights, parquet floors and a sleek kitchen to boot. The living room’s wood burner is a nice touch here (though you’ll need to supply your own logs) and it benefits from two separate bathrooms, one on each floor. There’s a small outdoor patio area too which isn’t the most scenic spot, but there’s a bench that’ll do quite nicely for sipping your morning coffee or evening glass of wine alfresco. When you’re ready to venture out, save yourself the headache of parking and walk twelve minutes instead to explore York city centre, where York Minster, The Shambles and the York City Walls await.
