Watch Venetian life go by from the window of this seventeenth-century palazzo apartment for two, perched on the Canal Grande and within easy walking distance of the city’s hotspots and central train station. While the ornate interiors of this adult's only bolthole may not be to everyone’s taste, and the bathroom could do with a tart-up, it’s well cared for and perfectly in keeping with the character of the home. It’s worth noting the kitchen is compact. But with so many charming cafes and restaurants just moments from your door, we don’t think you’ll mind.

Expect to bump into other guests during your stay. *There are stairs within this apartment building which may be unsuitable for guests with restricted mobility. *Expect to hear some noise from the Canal Grande throughout your stay. *We think the compact kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals. *The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
