Shells Along The Shore: Serifos

With an idyllic setting, just a three-minute stroll from the long sandy beach of Ganema, this villa with stunning Aegean Sea views is the perfect Greek retreat. A little further afield, the scenic main town of Serifos, home to charming sugar-cubed houses, is around 8 miles away, while Livadi Port and a smattering of seafront restaurants is under a fifteen-minute drive. This small, ruggedly beautiful island is a hidden gem with its steadfast traditions, majestic mountains and pristine, tamarisk-fringed beaches.

You don't have to go anywhere for vistas of golden sands and sparkling azure waters, though. Just take a seat on the terrace or relax in the hammock – our favourite spot at sunset. Sip some tsipouro (your friendly hosts provide a bottle in your welcome hamper) between bites of Greek meze as the day turns to night. Then, spend the evening gazing at a sky full of diamond-like stars. Inside this home, there are beautiful character features, such as stone walls, beamed ceilings, and outlooks to the dreamy seascape. This place is ideal for a family or group of friends who want to get away from it all.
